www.my-wardrobe.com Online shopping Mannequin or Models?
August 4, 2009 by Womens fashion Team

During London Fashion Network’s e-merchandising event some weeks ago, there was apparently a debate on the use of models in online retail.
The general consensus was that as guys need a better idea of how clothes fit, models work best for displaying men’s clothing online.
Whereas for women’s online shopping the use of models may work against the e-tailer, as females take in more that just the clothes during their decision making process and features such as Hair colour, age and body type could be a determining factor and apparently put shoppers off.

But in e-commerce no-one has the monopoly on what’s right and retailing rules are there to be broken.
Lauren Stevenson, PR Director at www.my-wardrobe.com says “using a model versus a mannequin shows the fit, cut and even the proportion of accessories a lot clearerâ€.
As a savvy fashion e-tailer careful to appeal to its core customer www.my-wardrobe.com was diligent in selecting models “the customer could relate toâ€.

Only time and tracking traffic statistics will tell if www.my-wardrobe.com designer store has made the right move.
Tell us what you think, do you prefer to see clothing on an invisible mannequin or real life model? we would love to you to give us your opinion.
