August 7, 2010 by Ceri ·
What could be more summery than a cool white summer dress. The colour white works amazingly well to show off a golden summer tan whilst on holiday and when you get back. White also reflects the sun helping you keep cool, calm and collected on even the hottest of days. This year white summer dresses are huge trend and they can be adapted for all sorts of situations from casual daytime to smarter work outfits and stunning party outfits. Wear your white dress on its own for a simple minimalist look or combine with brightly coloured accessories for a boho festival chic style. Just be carefully which underwear you wear with your white summer dresses, bright or dark colours may show underneath, for invisible undies with a white dress always choose either white or flesh coloured.

White summer dresses are bright and incredibly eye catching but need to kept spotlessly clean for maximum effect. Avoid sitting anywear that might mark your dress and avoid brightly coloured food or drink when wearing a white dress. If the unthinkable happens when wearing your white dress or it starts to lose its clean white glow, you can find specialist products to wash it and make it look as good as new again.
Striking Women’s Dresses For The World Cup
June 11, 2010 by Ceri ·
This Friday the FIFA World Cup will officially kick off in South Africa. Even if you are not usually a big fan of football, it is difficult to not get wrapped up in the excitement about one of worlds biggest sporting events. Whilst in the past, most people have supported the England team by wearing the England Football strip or painting their faces with a George Cross, this year women’s dresses in red and white offer a stylish but equally patriotic option. Whilst football shirts are great for men who want to support England, they are a little unflattering and casual for ladies who like to get dressed up for the event.
Perhaps it is the WAGs (well some of them) in their designer dresses that have brought a little glamour to the game and made those ladies which opt for the predictable football shirt feel a little under dressed. If ever anyone needed a great excuse to get dressed up, then supporting England in the world cup is definitely it. Instead of just sitting at home watching the game on the box, many people now choose to congregate in public places to watch it on a big screen or go to parties or barbecues.
This year there has been quite a bit of talk about fashion with the FIFA world cup licensing its imagery, including mascots and logos, to be transformed into a clothing brand, courtesy of Singapore-based Global Brands Group. But with so many different options and women’s dresses available, you don’t have to look too far to find some great World Cup fashion with bright and bold to subtle and stylish, there is something to suit everyone. High Street retailers all have their own ranges of England world cup clothes.
Whilst the most popular choice of colours for supporting the England team are red and white, that doesn’t mean that you will have to invest in a red and white dress that you might never wear again. A bright red dress is a really stunning choice and can easily be accessorised with some white accessories for a patriotic football outfit. Similarly white women’s dresses accessorised with red will create the same effect as the England flag. A little navy into the mix won’t do any harm either.
This simple white linen dress by Marks and Spencers combined with these red shoes by Dorothy Perkins makes a stylish and minimalist look for any World Cup parties that you attend this summer.
This bold and bright red striped dress by Dorothy Perkins is a really ‘striking’ way to cheer on the England team.
There are plenty of other ways that you can add a little support for England to your world Cup outfit. These fun accessories are perfect for both match day parties and every day wear.
This square faced England watch would look great with a casual dress or shirt dress and some England flip flops. A England sequin clutch is also a great way to support England in style.
Let’s hear it for the boys! Another alternative is the ENGLAND LION TEE (£10). Perfect to team with jeans or a pair of white jersey shorts, cheer on England in this round neck tee available in red or white. or The ENGLAND FLAG TEE (£14) has a large motif print to the front and a slash open back with adjustable tie. Available in red or white.
