Rachel wears Lipsy Strapless Bustle Dress on X-Factor

Following on from our recent post about how x-factor is a virtual catwalk for some of the countries top labels. Well Saturdays instalment was no different.

Despite Cheryl wearing some bizarre ensemble looking as if it was made from fabric covered cardboard and cut down lengths of steel tubing, the rest of the cast were reasonably in order.

With it being Rock week, the girls were pulling off the “Rock Chick” look with ease and as I’m sure all know this look is really in at the moment. Lucie chose the boyfriend trousers with plaid shirt, whereas Stacey totally looked the part in leather look leggings a t-shirt dress and waist coat.

The exception was Rachel, who since ditching the severe make up and the 1980 flock of seagull haircut in exchange for a softer more feminine bob has, we think a more appealing, softer appearance. She sang a great rendition of “one” by U2 which I guess just squeezes into the category of being a rock Ballad. All the same, we think Rachel rocked with her choice of Dress, which this week came from, yes you guessed it – Lipsy.

Rachel wore the Strapless Bustle Dress, which is a colourful animal print strapless dress with fitted bodice.

Lipsy Jewelled Colour Block Dress is Worn by Sam Mitchell

Sam Mitchell certainly likes her Lipsy Dresses, we’ve seen her in a couple of Lipsy Colour block dresses, in the BBC’s promotional shots leading upto her re-introduction to EastEnders, Though in Mondays edition she chose the Lipsy Jewelled Colour Block Dress as the centre piece dress for her main scene.

Sam Mitchell, played by Daniella Westbrook in BBC’s Eastenders, was seen winding up the patrons of the Queen Vic by dancing on a table, before Peggy stopped the show and drags her upstairs out of site of the, ever so fraught, pub audience.

Diana Vickers Performs At Lipsy Store Opening

Diana Vickers who after her success on X-Factor, seems to be getting more exposure than the winner of the competition Alexandra Burke.

That was illustrated recently after Diana Vickers was chosen by Lipsy to open their first store in the North at teh Metro Centre, Gateshead in April.

Both Diana and Alexandra are both self confessed Lipsy junkie’s and spend an awful lot of their new found wealth in the women’s clothing store, so I’m sure that it would have been a gig that either of them would have enjoyed.

Diana didn’t disappoint as she belted out a couple of tunes she performed during her time in the hottest TV show of last year, the X Factor.

What’s more is that Diana enjoyed the experience all the more as she also modelled a selection of the new Lipsy collections during her performances, such as the Bustier Ruffle Dress in Pink Oasis.

Diana Sang “Man in the Mirror”, “Call Me” and the Dido hit “White Flag” to a crowd of hundreds of fans some of whom had travelled significant distances to be at the Metro Centre on this momentous occasion.

After that Diana made a quick change into her Lipsy Jewelled Futuristic Prom Dress in Miami Blue, she cut the ribbon on the grand opening of the new store, before talking to a few shoppers and taking part in a Q&A session, where she offered the following words of wisdom “If you want something badly enough follow your dream and never give up.”
