French Connection Best Sellers

French Connection have some glorious women’s clothing and right now they have some great pieces which have risen to the ranks of best sellers over the past month.

It’s an eclectic mix of items which presumably reflects the current styles and fashions prevalent on the high street currently and includes, military style clothing, sparkly sequin dresses and some new wave stroke punk influence with the exposed zip becoming more of a feature.

The Sammie Jacket for example sums up the military look which is very on trend at the moment, and perhaps takes it a touch too far reflecting an almost SS lead grey colour, and put together with the Jamie Boot is quite a striking ensemble which will perhaps split opinions, but all the same will turn heads we think especially worn with a pair of black leggings ala Cheryl Cole, it will look simply stunning.

A little less extreme is the Spirit Dress, This is the very height of fashion currently, as it is a tee shirt style dress embellished with lots of tiny sequins which have been applied in such a way that it forms a geometric patterns which again is another trend prevalent during the A/W 09 catwalks.

Finally we come to our fave which is the Gia Dress, this simple dress is just a stunning women’s Dress and features capped sleeves, a V neck collar with double zipped pockets on the front, but it looks so good on, I defy you to resist the temptation of the fabulous Gia Dress.

The Dazzi A line Sequinned Mini Skirt From French Connection

Stella Magazine covered the current trend of sequins and featured the Dazzi Skirt the georgous sequinned mini skirt from French Connection, and lets face it, sequins are so the trend of the moment; you just can’t get moved for women’s dresses embellished with those tiny shiny discs with a hole in the middle; But houndstooth is a classic Dior inspired print which is a timeless classic and has made a bit of a renaissance recently for AW09. But both are adorable, and worn correctly, adds that little bit of sparkle and elegance, don’t you think?

However those clever people at French Connection have taken things a step further and combined both trends in one garment to produce the Dazzi Skirta houndstooth sequinned A line skirt, doesn’t it look fantastic?

The Dazzi Skirt is a great peice ideal for the party season or a special occasion, and If you’ve got the colour naturally or out of a bottle, it’ll look great with bare legs, but realistically at this time of the year mix it up with sheer black tights or even more daring block colour white tights!

French Connection Best Sellers Spring/Summer

As the weather’s getting warmer so too are the fashions. The summer is in sight and French Connection have got some of the current best sellers just screaming try me and buy me.

Teal is a big colour this season and the Bex Dress is a great party dress, with its sheer balloon sleeves, and its beaded neckline, just great for a summer event or two.

The Java Top is a classic summer top with V neck and short sleeves it great for those hot summer days. It has a strong floral print with rust coloured flower with chocolate coloured background.

Freida Pinto More Millionare than slumdog

As we’re in the middle of the red carpet season, we at Women’s dresses have been keeping close eye on what’s been happening.

We’ve noticed that the Beautiful young actress Freida Pinto has been in attendance an awful lot.

It’s not surprising however, as show co-stars with Dev Patel in the British blockbuster Slumdog Millionaire a film that is set in the poverty stricken suburbs of Mumbai and a feel good rags to riches story with a more than a dose of romance.

Well Freida is not exactly typecast in the photo above with her Zac Posen shimmer mini at the recent directors guild awards in California.
